Johnny Was

5 April, 2016

Johnny Was is a contemporary women’s line based out of Los Angeles and their embroidered tunics and dresses are perfect for spring and summer. Whether you wear one over your bikini or paired with white denim, these colourful designs are beautiful and fresh for an al fresco dinner, day at the beach or lunch with the girls.

The linen pieces are our favorite as they are lightweight, washable and gorgeous. We liked the traditional tunic silhouette which is relaxed enough for the beach or pool and refined enough to wear around town. The designs are a more contemporary take on the traditional embroidered dresses from Mexico.

Whether you wear a beautiful pair of flat leather sandals or a lace up espadrille heel, simple gold accessories and a swipe of bright lip gloss completes this effortless and chic summer look. We like to pair our Johnny Was with simple studs by Jennifer Meyer and a swipe of liquid lip by Juice Beauty and a timeless pair of sandals.
